Unit Converter

Microsoft Excel has a CONVERT function that will convert a number from one measurement unit to another measurement unit.
Formula: =CONVERT(number, from unit, to unit)
Example: =CONVERT(1.5, "ozm", "g")
This is a powerful function as it contains a comprehensive list of measurement units and full range of metric prefixes from yocto (x10-24) to yotta (x1024). In between these Yocto and Yotta are prefixes like Kilo (x103), Mega(x106), Giga(x109), Mili (x10-3), Micro (x10-6), etc. just to name a few of the famous one. Among the measurement units, one may scratch his head to find out the codes for Angstrom or light year in the =CONVERT() formula to calculate distance.

As you can see, finding a specific unit code and metric prefix code for the CONVERT formula is not straight forward for most users. This Unit Converter, an Excel Add-In, makes the unit conversion and insertion of =CONVERT formula extremely easy.
